Path & Trails Image

DMB is committed to enriching Verrado by continuing to shape the integrated path and trail system, reflecting the needs and wants of Verrado residents.  Verrado's path and trail system links Verrado's neighborhoods, parks, schools, and other destinations through paved paths, unpaved trails, bike lanes, and sidewalks.   We invite you to get out and hike, bike, walk, or run on Verrado's temporary trail system – 20 miles of trails to explore and experience, including a new, temporary 5-mile bike trail.

No additions to trails shown on the current temporary trail map may be constructed without DMB approval. Unauthorized trail construction and is not permitted by DMB. DMB requires resident cooperation to responsibly maintain this amenity, preserving access to our beautiful, surrounding desert landscape today and for future generations.

White Tank Mountain Regional Park

Close to Verrado, this nearly 30,000 acre park makes it the largest regional park in Maricopa County offering outdoor events and activities: http://www.maricopa.gov/parks/white_tank/

Most of the park is made up of the rugged and beautiful White Tank Mountains. The range, deeply serrated with ridges and canyons, rises sharply from its base to peak at over 4,000 feet. Infrequent heavy rains cause flash floodwaters to plunge through the canyons, pouring into the plain. The scoured out series of "tank" depressions in the white granite rock give the mountains their name.
